The Environmental Resources & Policy GIS/RS facility is located in room 209 Parkinson Lab. This modern computing facility is well equipped and dedicated to meeting the technological and computing needs of Environmental Resources & Policy faculty, staff and students. The workspace is ergonomic in design and offers a relaxed atmosphere for research activities.
There is a wide variety of computer hardware and software available for many aspects of research use. Software packages range from analytical and statistical applications to office and remote sensing applications. Research equipment includes both handheld and survey grade GPS equipment, a ruggedized notebook computer, a laser total station, digital cameras and mobile presentation systems.
Technical support with lab software/hardware, equipment checkout, and training is available during regular lab hours (8:00am to 4:30pm M-F). Environmental Resources & Policy faculty, staff and students are allowed key access to the lab 24 hours a day. Please see the lab manager if you would like a key.
